Plastic Repair
Plastic bulk boxes (Dolavs) pallets, totes and attached lid containers can be repaired using a process of plastic welding using a hot air gun. Once the surface has been cleaned and prepared, the sides are clamped and a heated rod of plastic is run along the crack bringing both sides together. Any holes in the plastic can be patched using the sheet material again welded securely into place.

Metal Repair
Roll cages, stillages, trollies and metal pallets are a valuable asset and through a programme of repair and maintenance their working life can be significantly extended. Furthermore, damaged equipment can pose a real health and safety risk with sharp edges and protruding metal liable to cause a nasty injury to personnel. Equipment can either be repaired off site or on a customers' premises by mobile engineers. Any bent metal components are straightened and broken parts welded followed by a coat of rust inhibiting aluminium paint. Spares ranging from new wheels and castors to new front doors, side frames and much more can be supplied and fitted. Finally a complete safety check is made on equipment.

Metalwork Modification
A busy working warehouse facility will have varying demands placed on it and the requirements for roll cages and trolleys can change over time. For example supporting a new client might mean an alteration in handling equipment or even a change of vehicle fleet. Through the support offered by IQ Storage we can provide an on or off-site service whereby equipment can be de-sized or enlarged, component parts fitted or removed to suit the application. Obviously, the extent of the modifications will largely depend on the customer's new requirement but advice and suggestions on intended changes, the specification and procedures can be provided and backed by over twenty years of experience.
